The?Procurement?Officer?(PO)?primary?responsibility?will?be?to?strengthen?the?communication?between?localised?procurement?teams?and?the?regional?procurement?leads,?ensuring?procurement?initiatives?and?strategies?are?reviewed?and?implemented.?Instrumental?in?reviewing?and?reporting?on?new?sourcing?opportunities?within?the?Asia?region?primarily?China?and?Korea.?Provide?support?and?coordination?to?obtain?and?analyse?spend?data?from?the?various?ERP?business?systems,?support?APM?for?Forecasting,?budgeting?and?financial?data?requirement.

Responsibility?for?timely?submission?of?third?party?spend?within?the?Asia?region.?Working?closely?with?the?Asia?Procurement?Manager?to?deliver?best-in-class?strategic?sourcing?initiatives?within?the?Thermal?Products?Division?(TPD).?To?direct?and?implement?sourcing?activities?working?closely?with?site?Procurement?Managers,?Regional?Procurement?Managers?and?the?Business?Operations?Analyst?in?pursuit?of?sustainable?reductions?in?the?total?cost?of?goods?or?services?procured?with?simultaneous?improvements?in?the?data?quality?and?timeliness.
Essential?duties?and?responsibilities:
To?ensure?Procurement?and?supply?management?effectiveness?within?the?Asia?region,?the?key?responsibilities?include?the?following:
? Provide?support?to?the?APM?and?entities?located?in?China?and?Korea?for?co-ordination??of?procurement?activities
? Identify?any?potential?saving?opportunities?relating?to?raw?materials,?goods?and?services?by?entity,?regionally?or?globally
? Assess?and?establish?new?sourcing?opportunities.??PO?will?work?closely?with?TPD?to?determine?the?current?and?future?sourcing?needs,?to?agree?on?the?best?method?for?fulfilling?those?needs,?and?to?monitor?ongoing?effectiveness?of?the?process.
? Lead?planning?efforts.??PO?will?support?the?APM?to?prepare?annual?and?long-term?strategic?sourcing?plans?which?identify?how?the?strategic?sourcing?organization?intends?to?achieve?the?division’s?goals.??The?plan?will?propose?specific?sourcing?projects?for?the?year,?expected?savings?from?these?initiatives?and?a?time?table?for?completion.??Build?upon?what?we?have?started.
